How it started
Born from a need for real, natural ingredients and inspired by family, faith, and flavor.
Oma’s Organics offers handcrafted seasoning salt blends are made with mineral-rich Himalayan pink salt and organic herbs and spices—No additives or fillers and no chemicals.
Oma’s Organics began as a solution to a problem—and blossomed into a calling. Back in 2010, I was navigating food allergies and sensitivities that made store-bought seasoning blends impossible.
I found myself wondering. “Why is it so challenging to find something made from genuinely pure ingredients?” It seems impossible to find anything completely free of chemicals, additives, and fillers.”
So, I created my own blend using mineral-rich Himalayan pink salt and a carefully selected mix of organic herbs. That simple, natural blend quickly became our family’s go-to, replacing table salt in every meal (except dessert!).
Friends and family began to notice—and they wanted their own jar. It began as “Tonja’s Organic Seasoning Salt.” It grew by word of mouth. More and more people asked for refills and extras.
Herbs used are grown in Oma’s Garden.
In 2018, when I became a grandma, something shifted. A new identity took shape—Oma’s Organic Season Salt.
“Oma” means grandmother, and the name felt like the perfect reflection of tradition, love, and home.
Later, with encouragement from our daughter, we created a bold new choice: the Smoked Blend. We naturally smoke our Himalayan pink salt over real mesquite, then blend in our signature herbs and spices.
It’s earthy, flavorful, and completely natural. After years of encouragement from my husband—my biggest supporter—we officially launched Oma’s Organics in 2025, right here in Sagle, Idaho.
Our products are inspired by simple, biblical principles:

Verse 13 – Stay Salty!
“You are the salt of the earth”, This verse reminds us that not only does salt bring out the best in our food, but we are called to bring goodness into the world.
Verse 14 – Be light!
“You are the light of the world“, Jesus is speaking to his disciples (and by extension, to all his followers). He declares that believers are the light of the world.
